Connor + Christine Pavilion at Orchard Ridge Farms Wedding | Rockton Illinois
Connor and Christine’s wedding story at the Pavilion at Orchard Ridge Farms doesn’t begin with their wedding day or even the day before. Connor actually proposed to Christine at the Pavilion at Orchard Ridge Farms! Connor’s original plan was to hike at Rock Cut State Park and propose near the lake, but when the weather was rainy, Christine vetoed the hike. Instead, she suggested they drive around and look at potential “someday” wedding venues. Despite not wanting to get out of the car to look at the pond (due to the wet grass), Connor eventually convinced Christine to get out of the car, and he proposed right where they celebrated their marriage a couple of years later.
April 1st was a cool and windy day after a period of warmer weather in Northern Illinois. The day before we had severe storms - over 20 tornadoes were confirmed in the area. Unfortunately, this caused the church, Our Lady of Assumption in Beloit, to have no power. Connor and Christine didn’t let this bother them and had a beautiful ceremony - and the power DID turn on in the middle of their ceremony!
After the ceremony, we returned to the Pavilion (where Connor and Christine had also rented the Copperstone Inn for getting ready) to enjoy some amazing food, beverages, and dancing. It was a night to remember. Enjoy a look back at their amazing day!
